Pen Power Poetry at Flynn Park Elementary School
On Thursdays Pen Power Poetry holds hourly workshops at Flynn Park Elementary School. With the worksheets that we have created, we help kids become better writers and express themselves. They're brimming with ideas, but putting them on paper can be the tough part! These sessions are filled with joy, smiles, and lively poems.
"POETRY IS FUN!!! I love writing with Izzy. My favorite part is showing her my poems because she always makes me feel proud of my work, even when I wasn't sure about it. She’s super kind and always has great ideas when I get stuck. One time, I couldn’t figure out how to finish a poem, and Izzy asked me a question about my favorite animal, and I knew exactly what to write! She makes writing feel like a fun adventure, not homework."
